waiting for a train to cross
drowning out my radio
I reached and switched it off and so
I didn't hear him say
you were next in line to play
and sing a song for me
but I turned back on the radio

so I heard your charming voice
coming through my radio
I often listened to that show
but never had before
been affected any more
than when you sang that day
the day I first heard you on the radio

and it seems those voices come and drift away
